The DEPURTEC effluent reuse module is designed to complete removal of suspended solids, organic matter and pathogens that escape from the biological process, allowing the water to be safely used and controlled in processes and in other applications, watering gardens, trees, crops, etc.
The DEPURTEC model is made up of filters operating in parallel or in series, made up of several filtering medium layers and adapted to the application’s needs.
It incorporates all the necessary elements to carry out all operations both for filtration and for absorption and disinfection as well as cross-current washing operations, all in the same module and with a degree of automation that makes manual intervention practically redundant.
Modules for removing pesticides for drinking water
Due to the presence of pesticides in water for human consumption that can generate serious health issues, these compounds are considered to be dangerous according to the European legislation in force.
In Spain, the RD 140/2003 sets a maximum permitted concentration in water for human consumption of 0.5 μg/l as the total sum of pesticides and 0.1 μg/l as an individual pesticide.
On certain occasions, triazine compounds can be found in the water (simazine, atracine, terbuthylazine, terbumeton, etc.) that have been used as herbicides in agriculture.
These organic compounds generally present low solubility in water, making it easy to eliminate them using active carbon.
